Just saw the commerical for the new Chevy Aveo... it looks awefully like the Echo Hatchback that's available in Canada... are they the same car? Kinda like Toyota Matrix = Pontiac Vibe?

nope.

Its based of a Sukuzi. We get the Aveo as well in Canada.

Really? That's surprising... These 2 cars look really similar to me... maybe it's just the angles in the commerical...

by "=" you mean "Sucks equally", then yes, you are correct

Why? I think the Echo Hatchback is a neat little car... it's very cheap even compared to other sub-compacts, has good power (when taking into account it's light weight)... I think it would be a great little car for driving around town... Doesn't fit my needs though, else I would probably get one...

It's got the same horsies as my old 90' Civic Si (108) and it's lighter.......... that thing is going to move like stink 🙂

Found on Edmuunds site:

The Aveo is the result of GM's recent acquisition of Daewoo Motor Company and is essentially a rebadged Daewoo Kalos, a car already on sale in other markets around the world.

well there's a sukuzi based on that Dawewoo then. Or the Kalos is based on Suzuki.

I know Suzuki is somehow related to that car.

I just got mixed up cause I'm a dumbass of a higher degree.

Didn't Daewoo make the LeMans for Pontiac 10-15 years ago?
