I know they pronounce it "im-pal-ah" on the commercials, but for as long as I can remember people pronounced it "im-paul-ah" which is what I prefer :\
 
Yeah, the commercials are wrong. It's not pronounced how Chevy pronounces it, it's pronounced how you say the name of the animal. Psh... Chevy telling us how to pronounce the name of their vehicle? Hahaha who the hell do they think they are?!

Pal rhymes with mal(ware) or cal(ifornia); paul rhymes with wall, fall, call...

 
It really depends on the side of town you live on. The po folk always called them Im-pal-a, where I grew up. The more affluent called it Im-Paul-a. 🙂
