I just came back from the doctor and she feels it's stomach acid. Gave me some names of over the counter stuff to deal with it. She told me to come back if it keeps happening so I just wanted to see what you guys here think?

I marked the location of the chest pain in the picture above in green. It should be on the right side of my chest close to the mid section. So for three weeks, i didn't exercise and all of a sudden it hit me pretty hard at that location. My chest got really tight at that area and made me grab it but it only lasted for a few seconds. After that happened, i decided it was time to start exercising again. So I went for an 8 mile jog later that night i believe. Now, i can occasionally feel the chest pain but it's pretty faint. What do you guys think? Pulled a muscle maybe?

The doctor touched that area and other places around my chest but I didn't feel any pain. (I thought she was attractive so I didn't mind) She also used a stethoscope but heard nothing out of the ordinary either. Her guess is that it's related to my eating habit since I'm follow an IF protocol, eating all my calories in 4 or 5 hours.

I'm not an expert when it comes to medical causes for pain in that location specifically, but slightly off-center pain on the chest could be coming from the sternocostal joints, internal or external intercostals, etc. The stomach acid explanation is probably a good medical explanation, but if it bothers you with deep breathing or with your back position (bent over, bent back) the rib stuff could be a good option. Obviously heart or lung dysfunction comes to mind, but she'll pursue that if the stomach acid doesn't clear up.

Thanks SC. She told me to breath in and out while she was listening to my heart and back so I think that's covered. I'll just keep an eye and mental note on it whenever it happens, and if it continues to happen, I'll make another appointment. Maybe i'll just make an appointment just for the hell of it because my Dr. is attractive and make a big fool of myself by asking her out even though I saw a ring on her finger.

The ribs and intercostals can still be the problem even with deep breath. No worries though, just keep it in the back of your head should it not get better.

And don't go asking if you already know the answer to the question :p

Gas can make you feel like you're having heart symptoms. Happened to me. Took some cold medicine without any food in my stomach. That's what caused it.
