crap I bought a self-moving chess set (excalibur mirage)...wanted one for past 12 years or so since I saw it.
anyway it broke within 5 minutes piece of work it was. Sent it back for refund.

anyway looking around I found out that chessmaster series is a laughing joke as far as the chess engine is concerned.

If your serious you can get really good chess engines for free. I know there are better ones fritz, deep junior, etc. But I don't wanna
shell out $50 to $100 for 'em either.
