ChessBrain not Welcome?

Why is Chessbrain not mentioned in the "Welcome to the Distributed Computing Forum"?

Is it the black sheep of the DC family?

Or the crazy uncle that no one wants to talk about?

Chess is after all a noble sport which will be here long after the aliens have left and we've cured our diseases, finished our genetic origami and found our magic numbers.

Besides, we're #1 -- and everyone loves a winner, right?

Just curious.

i don't think anyone here did it back when it first started (over a year ago)

the TA team was just created a couple months ago when this new phase (phase 2?) started it back up

The only project I know of that's not looked well upon here is the Neo/Xbox cracking project. AFAIK, noone has anything against the Chessbrain project; its not being included in the Welcome post is simply because nobody has written up a paragraph or two on it and PMed it to Smokeball (the guy who works on the Welcome thread stuff) yet. I'm pretty sure he'd be glad to add a section for you if you (or one of the Chessbrain members) wanted to write such a section.

I coordinated the last welcome thread update not too long ago and we weren't even a part of the Chessbrain project back then. If someone wants to put a few paragraphs together I will work with Smokeball to get it added
