I just got my new laptop (IBM t40) and not a moment to soon since the harddrive on my old laptop (IBM A21M) died on Sunday.
Anyway, my old laptop (PIII 700) took 31 or so seconds to do the benchmark, my new one (P-M 1.3 ghz) takes 6.5 seconds. In other words, it's 2.5 times faster, clock for clock.
