I love cherries, they are so tasty but they're so expensive !

Just finished a small slice of cheesecake with fresh cherries 😛

Cherries are so good to nibble on! Seattle has cherries out the whazoo, so I guess the expense depends on where you live?

They're like $4.99 a pound here in Boston.

99 cents/lb is not expensive in my book. at most, $2/lb can buy you the golden ones.

im in NYC

they're $4.99 a pound here, not 99 cents a pound.

if I was a bird, I'd fly about eating free cherries 😛

If you were a bird and you had flu... then :Q

My grandfather used to have them growing in his yard, along with grapes and some other things.

Still, to this day, I can't stand having to deal with the pits, so I rarely eat them. Unless you count the maraschino kind.

Right now, Washington Bing cherries are $1.99/lb and Ranier cherries are the same...LOVE them both...
During the cherry season here, I get them for $.99/lb for the local grown ones, but it only lasts about a month, then they're gone...and you have to buy "imported" ones from Washington.

My husband recently went and picked about 300 lbs of them with his folks, at some absurdly cheap price. Guess it depends.

<--- right outside Seattle.
