SVC.com is having a sale on lots of things and I am considering buying their Chenming X-Spider case, for $110 (on sale from $140). Do you think that its powersupply is ok? Will it cool good? http://svc.com/silverchenming.html Will the fans that it comes with be of good quality, or will I have to buy new ones?

The other case that I was looking at is here: http://www.newegg.com/app/Viewprodu...OHO File ServerTower ATX Case Model SX1040BII
It doesn't look as good, but I think it has a better PSU. The big question for me is: Which one will cool better?

Any other cases for around these prices are welcomed. I'm not sure how long the SVC sale will last..

Antec usually makes high quality psus. I'm still using my 300watt pp-303x from my tbird rig in my current 2ghz xp rig and it works fine. If I'm not mistaken someone on this board said that their 420watt turbolink cost them a system. You might want to check that out before you make a purchase. Case fans don't need to be too powerful, I'm pretty sure those 5 will keep your case temps fairly low. You can always replace the fans later if they aren't to your liking. I think both cases have the same style of fan placement so I don't think either would cool much better then the other depending on the fans used.

its ok, i have one. i racheted all fans down speedwise including psu fans through a rheostat/fanbus. u do have ot buy one more fan for the front hd bay, but fans are cheap. at max fan speed, its um cool. but i like quiet over cool.

I have the case...I've had no problems with it...it's really nice. The turbolink PSU is decent, (BTW it's a rebadged Channel Well, so you can at least trust the brand). I don't really know how to rate cases, but I think it was worth it.

BTW!! I know you are new here, but link your items next time!

i have built a few systems using the xpider case. it is very lightweight, stylish, and comes packed with fans.
the only thing i regret doing is ordering it online. a few days after i bought it, i went to a local computer show
and saw them on sale for $85. that's with a window and all. so if you want to save some money, go buy them at the show.
the power supplies i have never had a problem with either. turbolink or something like that right? never had a problem here.
you may want to watch out for deer power supplies. i've had a few of those go out on me.

other than that, for case neatness, i used a 3-pin 80mm fan on the window and plugged it directly into the mainboard.

good case.
