reports who have nothing better to ask. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if Cheney stepped down before 08 because of health reasons.

He never was much of a politician. He prefers to work under the cover of darkness. ;)

he'd make a horrible presidential candidate, weak health, and zero personality...

Cheney's a good guy in my book. He's a no-nonsense, direct-and-to-the-point kind of guy. Remember the VP debates a few months ago? He ripped apart the other guy (forgot his name). He's the kind of guy that takes crap from no one - all the qualities necessary for a CEO.

Of course you are a fan of him...you are the neocon posterboy.

And he didnt rip apart edwards, he lied and decieved a lot.

He won the debate...but hardly by the extent you say and not legitimately.

I'd consider voting for him. What's his stance on gay marriage again? ;)

Due to security reasons, there will not be any election in 2008, Cheney will automatically be inserted as president.

I'd probably vote for Richard Nixon's head before I voted for 95% of the other politicians.

Yeh, well, McCain's support of Dubya indicates he'll be trying to run, but he'll probably be bleeding, badly, from old war wounds reopened by another swiftliars attack calling him a collaborator and a traitor.

The likely hand picked successor? Bill Frist. Here' a little biographical info-

Maybe Jeb, not Giuliani...

Crap, I hope not Frist. Don't know much about Jeb so can't comment (no, I won't hold a grudge from one Bush to another if Jeb is actually qualified and has a decent agenda).

Oddly enough, I was watching Fox News today (testing my TV tuner card, Fox News has the best picture on my cable) and I saw an interview with Cheney. Typical slow lobs from the Fox News people, but listening to Cheney talk, I got the impression that he is a very smart person who can communicate his ideas very well. Personally I disagree with him on almost every issue, but in my ideal world he'd make a good presidential candidate. Smart, knows his issues, and can speak in public and pronounce words correctly. But he's a terrible candidate from a marketing perspective, he couldn't possibly win, even if he was healthy.
