hi guys,

What do you think about this case? i was going to use a A8N32 SLI MB , Opteron 165/170 with zalman 9500 fan and seasonic S12 PSU.

The GB II is no longer available in the States - hasn't been for a looong time - it never sold well as it was way overpriced. Some of the Codegen cases look similar but are nowhere near as well made as the Chenbro.

Thanks for the reply. The problem in Malta were I live is availability. I was interested in the Antec 180 from the reviews I see on this forum but it is not avialable in Malta. The cost in Malta for the Gaming Bomb II $300 and the coolmaster 830 $481.

what is your opinion?

My opinion is, you live in a beautiful and unique little spot on this planet. I'd love to see it in person some time.

As far as cases, I wouldn't hesitate in getting the Gaming Bomb. I'm amazed that it's cheaper for you than the CM when its level of workmanship is so much higher. Find some quiet fans for it though!

You aren't that far from mainland Europe are you? Why not ship something in from there. That aught to save you some money. The GB II is way overpriced for what is basically a mid-tower case - no matter how well-made and stylish. The Stacker is much more roomy but I couldn't see paying that much for it. If you have a friend coming back from the States, have them bring something back for you as luggage...

Thanks guys for the reply. the problem is shipping to Malta together now with a $60 ECO tax to be paid. Well if any of yougusy wanyt to come over and bring me one from the States you ar welcome 🙂.


I suppose I will go for the Chenbro since esentially all cases here are expensive. I do not have much options except then the Thermaltake Shark. What fans do you reccomend I use for silencing the beast? locally there are coolermaster and Thermaltake one available?

Just another query, should I go for BTX compatibility, i will be upgrading with this case to Opteron 170, A8N32 Mobo 2GB Corsair 3200 ram?

BTX is pretty much a dead letter now. Yet another of Intel's failed, grand ideas (split 12V rails in under 600W PSUs is another, IMO).

The chenbro is an excellent case, I got one shortly after it was available and have no regrets. The quality is better than any other case I've ever seen, and airflow is very good. The stock fans will work fine if you put them on a fan controller, running them at full speed is not an option unless you are already deaf...LOL
