Nice gift for GWB right before his visit to Rome. Pentagon is being accused of using thermal, cassette and needle bombs in Fallujah:(

IRAQ: ITALIAN TV ALLEGES U.S. USED CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN FALLUJAH

Rome, 7 Nov. (AKI) - A documentary to be aired on Tuesday by Italian state satellite TV channel RAI News 24 alleges that US troops used chemical weapons during their assault on the insurgent stronghold of Fallujah in November last year. The documentary - 'Fallujah - the hidden massacre' - uses witness accounts from former US soldiers, Fallujah residents, video footage and photographs, to support its claim that contrary to US State Department denials, white phosphorous was used indiscriminately on the city, causing terrible injuries to civilians, including women and children.

"I heard the order being issued to be careful because white phosphorous was being used on Fallujah. In military slang this is known as Willy Pete. Phosphorous burns bodies, melting the flesh right down to the bone," says one former US solider, interviewed by the documentary's director, Sigfrido Ranucci.

"I saw the burned bodies of women and children. The phosophorous explodes and forms a plume. Who ever is within a 150 metre radius has no hope," the former soldier adds.

"A rain of fire came down on the city, and people targeted by the different coloured substances began to burn. We found people dead, with strange injuries, with their clothes intact," a biologist from Fallujah, Mohamad Tareq al-Deraji tells Ranucci.

The evidence in 'Fallujah - the hidden massacre' claims to show the US forces did not use phosphorous in the legitimate way - to highlight enemy positions - but dropped the substance indiscriminately on the city, and on a massive scale. The documentary also shows the terrible damage wrought by the US bombardment of Fallujah, and the carnage to civilians, some of whom lay sleeping.

Equally disturbingly, a document in the report claims to prove that the U.S. forces have used the MK77 form of Napalm - the chemical used with devastating effect on civilians during the Vietnam war - on civilians in Iraq.

"I had gathered testimonials on the use of phosphorous and Napalm in Iraq from several refugees from Fallujah, and wanted to tell the world about it, but my kidnappers would not allow me to," said Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena, held hostage in Iraq earlier this year, during the documentary.

The use of white phosophorous and Napalm is prohibited by UN conventions. Moroever, the United States signed up to the Chemical Weapons Convention in 1997.

Kill more civilians so our death count can be as low as possible. I thought we went there to find weapons of mass destruction and then it quickly shifted to liberate the people.. now iwhy are we there if we are doing the same thing Saddam did?

"Usually we keep the gloves on," said Army Capt. Erik Krivda, of Gaithersburg, Md., the senior officer in charge of the 1st Infantry Division's Task Force 2-2 tactical operations command center. "For this operation, we took the gloves off."

Some artillery guns fired white phosphorous rounds that create a screen of fire that cannot be extinguished with water. Insurgents reported being attacked with a substance that melted their skin, a reaction consistent with white phosphorous burns.

Kamal Hadeethi, a physician at a regional hospital, said, "The corpses of the mujahedeen which we received were burned, and some corpses were melted."

Oho... Just ignore it.

US army has never been "civilized " , and will never be.

They used chemical weapons in Vietnam, deplete Uranium bombs in the Gulf.

They abuse POW, civilians, even recruits and females.

They would run out to harass and rape nonage girls, steal and rob poor hucksters around their bases, pillage and destroy foreign museums and civilization relics.

Perhaps they would try to keep well within US. Perhaps they are good fathers or brothers in the eyes of their neighbors.

However, how many Americans would clearly know what they have done out of US?

US media would choose to ignore it, so you may also choose to.

What drive those Iraqis commit suicide?

US army itself is also an important and deliberately ignored factor.

Hey mOeeOm, all is fair in war, right? You're not suprised by suicide bombers and other freedom fighters, why should the US be judged for protecting their soldiers?

As much as I disagree with Mo's Extremist Views ... there is a cause and effect here..

US shouldn't be there and they drew first blood

I'm not implying anything. For all I know this "report" is propaganda spread to make the US look bad. It wouldn't be the first time it is done.

I'm not implying that Moe has extremist views, I'm telling you that he does. He goes out of his way to protect and humanize terrorist suicide bombers, rioters and murderers in Islamic republics (like stoning women that supposedly cheat), yet acts so shocked and angry when the US is accused of commiting crimes.

I didnt realize that having your body ripped apart by shrapnel, bullets or other "legal" weapons was more civilized to say getting burned to death by an incindiery round...incindiery rounds like napalm and white phosperous are quite useful and effective in flushing out bunker and other fortified positions.

Insurgents reported being attacked with a substance that melted their skin, a reaction consistent with white phosphorous burns.
Boo hoo...you chose to take up arms agains the United States, so welcome to the jihad.

Most wars follow a similar pattern...America generally plays by the rules of what constitutes the laws of war...our enemies piss all over the laws of war...our soldiers get frustrated and take off the gloves...then there is "outrage" against America.

The insurgents stopped playing by the rules the moment they hid behind the protective garb of civilian clothes.

Having "rules" during times of war is absurd.

Wars are more absurd than the rules supposedly set for them :(

Quite true...I am sure most of us would prefer to live in a world in which war did not exist...unfortunately it does, and sometimes it does become necessary...and living in the reality of that world, placing rules around war to make it more "civil" is a somewhat bizarre concept.

This is true, yes, if you are a coward and an asshole and are so filled with self hate that you have no sense of personal dignity, no vision of the value of life, and no morality.

Im glad you know so much about what the american military does.

Especially that depleted uranium bombs were used, since depleted uranium is DEPLETED which means it is NOT RADIOACTIVE. DU is used in BULLETS for penetrating armored targets, and has absolutely nothing to do with bombs.

The only time mosques and historal monuments have been targeted were when ENEMY SOLDIERS WERE USING THEM FOR BASES TO STRIKE FROM.
