CHEM Question: Which is stronger: Ionic or Covalent bond?

That's a really basic question that can be answered quite easily by LOOKING IN YOUR TEXTBOOK. ;)

Ionic bond, because it is attraction between opposite charges(positive and negative ions). Covalent is attraction between like charges(electrons).

according to an AP chem problem, it states that covalent is stronger that ionic

thanx for all the help......ionic is definitely stronger than covalent.....but i guess not for collegeboard :(
