Hmmm just wanting some input on the old kissing etiquette.

With the 2 - 3 "french"(I think it started in France, and no I'm not talking about the "other" french kissing ;) ) greeting kiss it always starts with the right cheek, yes?

And if its just the single kiss is there a "rule" for which side?

Ahhh it's all to damn confusing :)

that one's a toughie, you'd probably have to get a book about the histroy of etiquette to find that one out. You might also try a Google or Yahoo saerch.

Etiquette history is kind of interesting. I believe it was during the Victorian age that people went 'card crazy'...they loved to leave calling cards. Old fashion trends are weird too.

Yeah Talon nice link. I'd still like to know if you actually kiss their cheek or just "air" kiss?

Damn, I don't know if this is weird or not, but my family has always kissed right on the lips when greeting or leaving. Is that too queer? The men shake hands, but I've always kissed my grandma, aunts, neices and sisters right on the lips!

I don't know how accurate that site is. I first did a quick search around the word etiquette and laughed when I saw some of the stuff that came up. :)

As I bend over & bare my 'cheeks', you can kiss either at your discression... just don't drool...

& yes, it is 'air' unless you have a personal relationship...

'Stinky' got his name because he could never remember.. right or left... & always kissed in the middle..

Wow I cant believe that there isn't really any strict etiquette on which cheek to kiss on in America or Australia. Hmmm I think it's generaly the left cheek with a single kiss in western countries.

Surely there are some women in OT that know? Don't women kiss each other on the cheek all the time when their greeting?
