Checkmark column in iTunes

Since I sync my iPhone via playlists, I really don't have any need for the checkmark column in iTunes. Is there anyway to remove or hide it?

In iTunes 10, you have the option in the preferences to disabling the checkmark column.

Awesome, having flipped this switch, I definitely prefer it. Now, do you happen to know how to remove the little arrows or make them not take you to the store? OS X, iTunes 10.

I don't think there is a way to get rid of those.
