I will have a friend's place in Germany to drop some stuff off, but am looking to go as light as possible. Tips?

Any recommendations on a camera/laptop?
 
Just get a decent-sized backpack. I wouldn't carry a laptop over there unless you really need one. Maybe get an Axim with wireless... But when I'm in other countries, I ususally don't want to be online. Most Internet cafes are like 30 minutes for $2-3 Euros...not too steep if you're just checking Email once every few days.
