Checking Internet Speed

I just setup a small LAN which uses a router for connecting to the internet. What's the best way to test the internet connection speed so I can know the router & modem is working perfectly?
 
If you want to test your connection for speed, then use the speed test on dslreports.com. Go Here and find one that is close to you.

If you want to test your firewall on your router. Then this is the best site I can think of right now off hand. Here Just go down the page tell you see the "ShieldsUP!" link.
