I'm building my 1st-ever rig, and I could use some detailed help. While I'm 99% sure the parts are compatible with each other, I'm somewhat unknowlegable when it comes to making sure that all the case fans power up, front I/O panels connect properly with the motherboard headers, and all those other overlooked little things will work together properly. If someone could take the time to evaluate this list (NEWEGG WISH LIST) and evalute it, I'd be very grateful. The one thing not included in the list is a NEC ND-3520 DVD burner, which I already own.

That looks like a very nice build. good work!

Don't stress about your front panel connectors, they might seem complicated but they're not really. Each lead should be marked as to where it needs to be connected (PWR SW, Reset, HD LED, USB connections, sound connections) and your motherboard ought to also have everything marked, although the type is quite small. Take your time, if you get pos(+) and neg(-) mixed up on anything, it won't damage it so if a front panel part doesn't function try switching the leads. Also, some cases have a molex or two to power things like LEDS and panels, not sure if yours will but be sure to connect them if you see any!

You configuration won't use too much power, so the 400w fortron is a good choice AFAIK, although some would prefer a modular supply with a windowed case such as the Centurion, it is not necessary. one last tip - get a good mouse too, like a Razor Diamondback; or Logitech mx510, mx518, or G5. You won't regret it when you're gaming, i assure you. :D
