I can recognize it easily as lightning, it just looks like crap. I mean, it looks good, but it's not stunningly good, just like craptacularly good. Honestly I have no opinion on that picture. Really.
 
Playing around with 3D Studio Max, are we? I did something like this when I got started with that program. Takes just a couple of minutes really. 😀

It's not bad, but if you raise the specular level it should look a little more detailed. Detail is g00d.
