CHECK THIS OUT !! ... Water Cooled Athlon XP!

It's not that expensive to tell you the truth ... the kit comes with everything you need ...

It was only $140 ... (not bad considering you could spend upto $80+ for a Swiftech)

Water can also be risky though. But for the quiet zealots, its the only way. 🙂

Maybe I should put an AMD Athlon sticker on my DD Maze-2 waterblock and put a neon light in my case then I'll be leet like him.🙂
Is that your system NucleusWDS? I noticed that the person who posted in that forum is named Nucleus.

And what about the price of a dual Athlon board ... ?

Oh ... I don't think the project is finished yet ........ a peltier kit will soon be added to it ... to get it below room temps !!

At around $200, the Tyan Tiger is not a whole lot more expensive than a typical quality board with the same features minus SMP. $140 for 50MHz or whatever you got out of that is a waste of money.

The Tyan Tiger is not as overclockable as the Epox EP-8KHA+ 🙂

And it's turning my XP1700+ to a XP2100+ ... gotta love it 🙂

Cruise over to AMDMB forums and you will see numerous users getting 200-300MHz overclocks using standard heatsink and fan combos. The Athlon XP overclocks very well without exotic cooling methods.

As for the Tiger. It doesn't overclock at all, but when you know you can put 3.2GHz of CPU in it without spending more than $20 for a HSF x 2, you don't really care.

ugh just say its running at 1.7ghz. That Athlon XP lingo requires a chart to follow.

Actually a 2100+ XP would need to be running at 1.73ghz.
1.53ghz=1800+
1.60ghz=1900+
1.66ghz=2000+
1.73ghz=2100+

I'd still much rather talk in MHZ than the more confusing PR rating system.. overclockers deal with mhz, so we might as well stay with them.

LOL And this is just the beginning of the specificity battle. 😀

Can you guys please post links about Water Cooling and places to buy products so that I can make my own water cooled rig.

Thanx

And for now, Pentium 4 is still on the edge frequency wise at 2,000MHz
