Check this out, really cool online map/aerial photo software.

Ok, the software is kinda beta right now, but it works, and it generates some fantastic maps. You can turn any feature you want on or of... stuff like roads, photos, bodies of water, city names, etc. You can zoom in and out, and it covers the whole US (Only a few cities currently have the righ res photos available, you have to zoom in to turn on high res images for those cities)

Here's a picture with everything turned off except for "High Res Ortho: Sacramento, CA". Picture

You can see how much detail is in the pic.

To use this, go here and click on "View and Order Data Sets - United States Viewer".

BTW, the goal is to have high res iamges of the whole country done by 2010.

They probably wont take new pics of the areas currently photographed till they finish the rest of the country.

My county assesors website has a similar mapping feature on their website. It's really cool, cause it links up to the property database, so you can find out just about anything about any parcel in the county
