Check this out, kinda cool

Very very very very very very INTERESTING, to say the least. It is funny because there is all this talk about next gen processors and video cards, mobos and such, but this is actual next generation THINKING. Everything sounds pretty good, but I have to ask you...does it work?! Those of you familiar with Sean Connery on SNL should understand that one, or should hopefully understand it now.

I think that it is a very good idea, and although there are several complications, mainly timings and versatility issues I think it is a step in the right direction. Depending on how successful it is and how many program designers adopt the architecture such a design could be emulated by both AMD and Intel in the future. Not to mention that chips could be made much smaller, with lower clock frequencies and run extremely cool.

We actually have the technology to design about 50 GHz chips, perhaps even faster, it's just at that speed a chip generates as much heat proportionally as a nuclear reactor. If we are not able to get around these issues perhaps we can emulate a 50 GHz chip using THIS technology.

CRAZY...so crazy it just might work...only time will tell.

Yeah, this is pretty mindblowing stuff. Its hard to believe that it'll be out this year. It'll almost certainly be limited in its use (I mean that it won't be a widespread chip). And the price! This thing could be used in just about anything at that price, and imagine what it could do for PDAs and laptops.

I saw another article, should've put the link for it here too, about another awesome technology. It was a new way of displaying images by directing information directly to the eye (its hard to explain, I'll try and get the article).

Crazy stuff, but gotta love it.
