what case is that?? also, what HSF?????????

Based on the two vertical, rounded pillars on the left & right sides of the front, I'd guess it was once a CM Centurion case. Waaaaaay modded, obviously, almost beyond recognition. :Q

That guy must also do auto body work.

I have no guesses on the HSF.

EDIT: In his sig, he lists a "Gigabyte 3D Rocket Cooler Pro." I guess that's it. Prolly sounds like the proverbial jet engine (not that I'm knocking his work).

The HSF looks like he put an air filter on it. Looks cool, but cuts his air flow to almost zero I'd guess.

The HS looks to me like an actual airfilter for a small carbeurator, somehow attached to a HSF. Cool Concept, though probably blocks a lot of airflow.

If I was going to do a hood scope like that, I'd put in a 160 cfm Panasonic bath fan, and pull all the case fans. The bath fans make almost no noise at all, and move a boat load of air.

Edit: Just checked, the panasonic is 340cfm.

 umm i guess im confused as to why this is a great mod. im not saying its bad work or anything but all he really did is slap a hood scoup ontop of a case w/ a blowhole. ya he put an air filter in there to look like the old air intakes. making a window takes all of 30 min tops. that mod can be done in less than a night. unless im missing something? im not trying to put him or his work down it just seems like more could have been done.

and dont worry ill have my mod log up here in a few weeks (1-2) so you guys can pick it apart like i did this one :D

Bath exhaust fans tend to be pretty expensive though. 110cfm, 1.5 sone fan at the local Home Depot is $106. Where did you find the 340cfm bath fan? I could use one in my house :)

Edit: found some online. Unfortunately for me the models > 150cfm require 6" ducting and I'm sure I only have 4". That limits me to the 150cfm or below models. The quoted noise figures are exceptionally low though! 160cfm at 0.8 sones, 190cfm at 1.3 sones...nice.
