That's just like the XMS Pro modules Corsair has...I personally don't see any point in paying 25 bucks extra for little flashy lights...unless I was really loaded and wanted to make my case all purty an' stuff.
 
I believe the ones Corsair came out with just pulsated all the time. Ours have a bit more functionality, they pulsate faster or slower depending on how much activity the memory has, so it shows you how hard the memory is working.

the corsair memory modules show real-time memory activity according to their site. so good job copying them, rock on.
