Check Signal Cable?

Hey guys, I'm not sure if any of you have this problem either, but sometimes when I leave my computer idling for a while the screen will suddenly turn off and I won't be able to get back an image no matter what keys I push or anything. All my screen says is "Please Check Signal Cable". I've tried unplugging and replugging the vga cord, and turning on and off my monitor. I don't have a sleep or standby or hibernation mode or anything like that set, my computer is always on. The only way I can get my image back is by rebooting my computer, and that always seems to work without having to fuss with any cable or other hardware.

I have a Radeon 9700 Pro video card. Anyone else experience similar issues?

Thanks!

I used to have this happen on my 9700 Pro. It was an early version that had problems with AGP 8X. When I forced 4X AGP, it worked correctly.

you mean you forced it into 4x mode? did you notice any performance losses?
