What do you expect to gain from that?

I want to get my head ported out and throw a crane cam up top my engine... in the end I could get at least 40 more HP from my 2.0L engine.. what do you expect out of these bad boys? whats your other plans?
 
Hmmm... Wonder if that'll fit my Volvo to replace the P.O.S. head that was on it... Stupid water jackets hardened and turned brittle sending bits of aluminum into my radiator. Eventually opened up enough that the gasket couldn't seal anymore. 🙁 Now I'm walkin... Being unemployed means no $$ for new head. Sigh...

Congrats man. Looks like fun! 😀

my guess is the Volvo is pretty old. my friend has an 82 240GLT that refuses to die, and just keeps running fine.. solid car that's for sure.

You mount them to the roof of the car. The springs on the valve seats face AWAY from the direction of travel. The drag coefficient opens the springs, the mounting plate transversely transfers the kinetic energy downward and rearward. The opposite motion propels the car forwards.

Below about 80mph, it doesn't do much, but above that, well, that's where the real power gains are to be had.

Don't listen to him gobadgrs, i don't think that' 100% correct, but I am not really 100% sure..... I am just pretty certain it's not all correct..

Not sure what the new one runs (Got it 2 weeks ago), I would say 13.5 or better w/traction, high 12's with tuning, race gas, and slicks.

Right now I'm tuning it, it was in crappy shape when I got it (Tune-wise).. TPS should be .42-.44, it was @ .86v! plugs were gapped wrong, IAC needed to be reset, TV cable was set wrong.. Many fun things going on.. 🙂
