Pretty rough car accident between a SUV and a Taxi. Word was the taxi got slammed by the SUV while making a left. It was such a hit that both cars ended up in this parking lot.

Sorry for the pic quality but taken through cell phone.

Because the SUV was the reason the driver blindsided the taxi?

Those Taxi drivers are pretty wild also, could have been either one fault, but it looks like the SUV must have been going really fast.

The SUV was the reason the taxi received that much damage. Those taxis are tanks too.

Yeah, no idea who's at fault, but that taxi just got destroyed.

You have no idea do you. Taxi's are regular cars, nothing special.

How can you blame the SUV and not the Taxi? How can you blame the Taxi and not the SUV? We have no idea what happened. Maybe the Taxi blew the stop. Maybe the SUV blew the stop.

Vehicles are never to blame, only drivers.

The reason the Taxi recieved that much damage was because another driver rammed into the side of him.

If a smaller, more rigid car (40yr old american steel) at a higher velocity did the same amount of damage, who's to blame? Fvcking laws of physics?

I hate SUVs as much as the next guy, but you can't blame the instrument of destruction for someone's foul deeds.

I am in Lake Tahoe near Kings Beach and there was an accident on the two lane road that wraps arouind the Lake. A Prius got sandwiched and looked like an accordian. I got stuck for 30 mins.

I really think SUV drivers should receive special training and receive heftier fines if caught speeding, etc. because of the higher chance they'll kill or seriously injure someone if & when they do make a mistake. This is why we have the various types of CDLs in place and the required training, and part of why we don't allow tanks or aircraft on roads (yes, weight, I know).

Why would the driver of the SUV be in the hospital? I thought the only reason people buy SUV is so they can come out of 200 MPH crashes w/o a scratch.

What an ignorant statement, there putz. It's not the SUV's fault, it's some of the tards that drive them.

Yep, one of the most ironic things about them is that the people who buy them to feel safe are actually putting both themselves and others in danger.

Yup....alot of the motor vehicle trauma we receive is people in SUVs either A.) going too fast for the conditions and they flip/roll over/cant stop in time or B.) are the folk who get hit by said SUV driving too fast for the conditions.

I don't know those taxis are the cop style crown victoria cars. pretty fast, very though; not the cheap style of cars that we all drive around now.

Also if the SUV was travelling southbound he had no stop, he had about 1/4 of a mile from the last light to the upcoming. Speed limit is 40, probably doing 50 maybe more.

Nassau County! I live in that county. Let me guess, the driver was a 50 something housewife / real estate 'expert' talking on her cell phone and speeding.

I dont know dude, by the time i got there both drivers were already taken to the hospital.
I'm guessing the SUV was being driven by a younger male, between 17-25. The SUV was custumized.
