Um, why don't you people who get banged up boxes refuse delivery? Sometimes it will even tell you on the box, "Refuse Delivery if box is damaged".

I've never had a problem with UPS, FedEx or Airborne Express. Maybe you guys antagonize your drivers or something...

Same here. I've actually had less problems with UPS than FedEx. I think UPS is kind of working with a stacked deck. Up until the last 5 or 6 years (and it still continues somewhat today although to a lesser extent), generally speaking if you had to ship anything bigger than a print document, you shipped it UPS since the rates were more affordable. If it was something small, FedEx was then an option because their rates were outrageous on heavier items. So UPS had to deal with all the large and akward size packages that are naturally more prone to be damaged or mishandled while the majority of FedEx packages were relatively small, easy to handle, more densely packed and not as easily damaged. I've received a few damaged packages from both, but never anything bad. However, when I used to work in the shipping/receiving department for a large corporation as an intern one summer, out of hundreds of packages a day we actually had more problems with FedEx packages being damaged than UPS.

A side of the box got crumpled....big deal. Most of my UPS packages that come to my house look 10x worse than that.

well im proud of you.

Eventually you will be posting something like this thread if you use them for anything fragile for long enough.

You cant refuse shipment when the guy sneaks in from the side street, throws it on the porch and runs like a banshee to his truck and peels off.

Isnt that the purpose of protective packaging inside? 😕

I don't know, but I always expect boxes to be crushed and beat up... thats why theres foam, packing peanuts, or bubble packages inside to protect the stuff.

I've had numerous odds and ends delivered and nothing's ever come broken. I've even had pretzels come and there were no more broken when if you were to buy them in the store. Unless you signed for the package, I don't think you're responcible. Thats why you're supposed to sign that electronic thing when they come. If the driver just leaves the package, the burden of proof lies on UPS to prove that you indeed signed it...

Man, I need a digital camera just so I can show you the great condition my shipments come in... 😉

I've received several packages thru FedEx and haven't had any problems.
I got a package last weekend with yummy Aussie food 😀 and box was in perfect condition.
