BTW, problems with cell phone camera are not because of its megapixels. Megapixel is only good for developing detailed large pictures. Lens has been a problem in early days, but nowadays cell phone camera lens is more than enough for its need.
The problem is that most of cell phone cameras use CMOS sensor instead of CCD sensor (OP's camera uses CCD). So far, CMOS is only good when they're large. Some companies, including Samsung, has been working on better CMOS sensors but they won't be available in near future.
