Maybe make a better looking site? Not just a page with some text and buttons on the top.

I know it lacks good looks, but I don't know how specifically to fix that. What would you suggest?

I would suggest looking at the elements that make other business websites look good, and try incorporating them into your own.

Note: I am not telling you to rip off a websites design or style. I'm telling you to come up with your own unique style that incorporates the functionality and usability of these sites.

Porn was a good answer.
My next choice would be pictures. Pics of the staff, place of business, something so it isn't so stark. An interesting font would help, too.

I didn't like that the "request a quote" link was a "mailto:" I would rather have a page with forms that compiles the email. I hate "mailto:"s that look like they are regular links.

Are you getting PAID from Google for that search button?

Cause I'd take it out if you're not.

-Take off the google search bar
-A more professional logo
-A website color scheme that matches your logo
-Use a layout with clear cut borders and edges, instead of just floating buttons on top
-Better looking buttons
-More pictures
-Depending on how long this took you and how much more you can add to it personally, i would hire a semi-professional to do it. Someone here can probably do it for you.

You really should hire a designer to create a mock up for you, and then you code the page yourself .. to be honest it looks kinda amateurish

Those hideous mouseovers, some BG colors, use tables or CSS to make the page not look like a list, form for quote as others have mentioned, get rid of that google search. Having the word "swan" in your logo twice is kinda redundant. Relavent pictures. I will post again if I think of anything else.

EDIT: Get rid of the pictures of the technician.

"Years with Swan Computers: Since before it started" ...lol

You have a dead link to a page on your local hard drive

Ignore the note at the bottom and you're set :p

Perhaps something along the lines of....

With or without the subnav, it doesn't look like you'll need it.
