:D

theres a stack more to come as well, took around 700 pics per day and i was there 2 days.

if your wondering why they are mainly all astons, thats because my friend actually races the number 1 car and is doing very well this year, so i processed some shots for him.

ill add more soon though, got vipers and porsches and morgans and ascari's and all sorts of cars to add, just need the time to process all the shots i like, of which there are many.

but for now, let me know what you think!

Really nice pictures! I wish we would have some REAL auto racing on this side of the pond! I went into DC the one time they had the Americn Grand Prix and it was amazing...alas it was long before I had a dSLR.

What lens did you use?

The pictures of the race are nice. But I'm really impressed with the pictures of the R8. That's pretty good for a phone!

yeah the K800 is suprisingly good, the shots can end up lookign a little washed out once you get them on a computer screen though, and sometimes theres alot of fringing.

heh i used a pretty naff lens by most peoples standards..... EF 28-105mm F3.5-4.5 MKI for the panning shots which i paid all of £60 for. its my most expensive lens :D

used the EF 50mm F1.8 MKII for the garage shots, paid £40 for that

and i dont even use the kit lens anymore. its only worth about £20 :(, i loved shooting motorsport so i think ill invest in a good Telephoto Zoom for this stuff. I Looked at the EF 70-200mm F4 USM IS, which is an L series lens, but its kinda expensive. Instead i have discovered a pontential gem in the EF 70-300mm F4-5.6 USM IS. it uses some special low dispersion elements in its construction and reviews put its optical quality approachign that of L series glass, but you do lose out on the speed a little and build quality. but to make up for that it does include IS with a mode specifically for use with panning.

so lenses on my wish list......

Sigma 10-20mm HSM wide angle
Tamron 28-75mm F2.8
Canon EF 70-300mm F4-5.6 USM IS
