I did a ton of research before deciding on a watch to buy, and discovered that Seiko only markets its automatic watches in Japan - the only 'autos' Americans can get are quartz Kinetics, and they're quite expensive.
So I went over to eBay and discovered that there's a glut of Seiko Automatics (think no batteries and no quartz, powered by movement from your wrist) from Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc., and they're dirt cheap. The Seiko 5 is a world-renowned watch with a tough-as-nails 21-jewel movement developed in-house by Seiko, and there are literally hundreds of designs of 5s out there.
So I bid on and won this watch - total, including shipping from Japan, was $47! A steal, if you ask me, especially since I was considering ordering a Kinetic for over $200! I might just buy two more just to have some for different occasions (sports, school, dressy).
Okay, pics (and video of the sweeping second hand):

Enjoy! Oh, and many thanks to Don_Vito for his guidance and advice as the cheap watch guru of ATOT!
