Can't knock the zip ties, I just picked up 30 of em to clean up my Shuttle. Looks like a very clean build, nice job.

Nice work with the cables. Did you pick up the black ties locally or get them online? I only find white ones at the hardware store, but they only cost like $1.50 for 100 of them.

I know, it's weird. I wanted it to go 3.0, but it runs 3179 MhZ with no problems. No artifacts, looped 3dMark03 all day and the temps see just fine.

If you are asking about what 9800 LE is, it's a 128bit version of the 9800 PRO, R350 core, 8 pipelines and 128MB of ram. It can hold it's own against a 9800 PRO o/c'ed like this. It runs 350/350 normally, I run it 407/360 with no artifacts and VGA Silencer on High.

try overclocking your rig to 3.6GHz or so. from wut i hear, its not very difficult. also, only a 9800 le? ew. besides the video card and the cpu, it looks fine. :) the 2.8C would have been a better choice. its faster and stronger, despite the L2 cache.

No, the black ones are longer than my white ones. The whites are the 100 pcs package, the blacks I bought at a local store when I saw the white ones couldn't fit around the bars. Most online retailers ask way too much for zip ties IMHO, I have seen them go up to 25 cents a piece, when you can buy 100 for ? 2,50... unbelievable.

By the way, I have 18 left from the 100 package :D

That looks very clean. I imagine if I didn't have so many drives in my system, it would look a little more like that :)

A regular 9800 can be up to twice as fast as an identically clocked 9800LE with the 128bit memory bus. I guess it's still better than a 9600 series card, but nowhere in the league of full 9700/9800 cards.

Yep, I know about the C and I was looking for a C online, but then I saw a 2.8E for ? 148. I jumped straight to the site and ordered one, got it 2 days later. When I checked the site the day after I ordered, the price was at ? 184... so I guess they made an error with the price input, because I still can't find a 2.8E below ? 175.

Yeah, I know. But as I figured, with the Half-Life 2, Doom 3 and more around the corner, I'll be needing an X800 soon. So why buy an 9800 Pro now and then get a new card in two months. I'll probably have enough cash (I am so broke now) for the X800 Pro around october, so this card will do till then.
