A recent thread on this forum got me inspired. Using the template, while making some changes and fixing some bugs this is what I've come up with:

Edit: Nevermind the typo, it's fixed already.

I think that's a really cool idea. I mean, design wise you could have done it better. But I've never thought about implementing something like that.

I like it.

For everybody complaining about design - I've only spent 30 minutes on this so far. When I have some free time later this week I might improve it. Either way, I can't take the credit for the idea. Somebody else came up with it, I just improved (i think) on it and fixed several issues.

Doesn't that slow your system down some?

Also aren't there apps out there that'll let you do neat things to your desktop like this (but maybe w/out HTML), like add shortcuts/groups, calendars, winamp, transparency, etc. (can't remember now what all they do)? Seems like in HTML, it be a pain to have to go edit every time you wanted to add/remove something.

I had those at first. But there's something unnatural about having a text box on your desktop...

hmm. looks fine to me. I only have links to the web on my desktop because I use shortcut keys or keyboard buttons to start programs.

Awesome... I drive the C class, but would like to own SLK one day. Unfortunately, where I live you can't get away with owning a roadster all year long, so I need to save up for an AWD for the winter.

P.S. What year? Mercedes made it sound like they're going away with the current design of SLK this year. However, autos.yahoo.com reports otherwise.
