With fuel prices going up and other things....I decided to get rid of my older Maxima as my daily driver and get something more gas efficient.

I picked up a new Aveo last month...just figured to put up a pic:

My new car!

I'll miss the Maxima, but this thing gets 34MPG! Averaging about 29 in my normal driving.

Isn't 34MPG highway a little low for a compact econobox?

Congrats. I'm holding out with my car for a few more years before I upgrade. It gets over 20mpg (more like 25-28) and that's good enough for me.... I can't justify buying anything new based on gas savings....it'd take me too long to make that money back unless gas prices go over $6-7.

I'll start walking to work if things get that bad.

I think that's their Reasonably Priced car, but in the Euro version.

OP,

I'm so sorry.

"Daewoo is responsible for its design, manufacture, and export (under such varied monikers as the Suzuki Swift+ and Holden Barina). Chevy?s sole Aveo contribution: the bow-tie badge."

"Petrochemical paranoia is driving consumers who can afford big to think small. The threshold of acceptability is soaring. It?s such a strong trend that Aveos sales are up despite the fact that the model doesn?t offer one competitive advantage over its rivals? not mileage, sportiness nor versatility."

I'm so, so sorry.
