Can't wait for them to bring it over in the afternoon so I can start riding it. They had to recharge the battery and do the state inspection before I could bring it home so they told me they'll bring it over the next day.

hotness... how much????

How the hell are you planning on riding though... its 30 degrees in MI right now. My f3 has been sitting in my living room for 4 months now....

my bike...

Man o man o man!!! wrong bike for a beginner.

Wrong attitude for a beginner. First you dont hope to learn to drive quickly so you can go out riding with friends.

Friends dont care about you on the road.

First thing first: www.msf-usa.org

go take your rider course.

second get good gear and a good health and life insurance

third pray that you dont crash.

There are several reasons experinced riders will say never to get a bike like the one you chose. The biggest one is called 'throttle control'. Guys who say they get bored with a 600cc after a week dont know what tehy are talking about. Guys who say they get bored with a 500cc after a week dont know how to ride.

Riding is about balance between the bike, the throttle and the rider. Its easier to be a better rider if you start small, it teaches you throttle control and teaches you to respect the bike. I do remember telling you to not to get a faster / more power ful bike. There is a reason for that, but sometmes ppl think just because i ride a smaller bike my opinion should be ignored.

I have been riding for a few years. While I admit i havnet ridden my bike in 6 + months I still will have to ride like a newb because i need to relearn my bike. For me it takes me about 50-60miles to get used to the bike's handling, after which i am good. However you can never say you are ready, cause the unexpected will always be there.

If your concern is to ride in a straight line, then fine stick to it. But avoid corners. And get some good gear for godsake.

first things first.. go to www.msf-usa.org and register to basic rider course in your area. After you have passed that and got your motorcycle liceence, then you can learn to try and ride your bike.

At this point you know jack crap about bikes, go learn something from MSF.

Looks pretty dam nice!

All the bikes minus the pink one look very nice.

My bike. 🙂 Whoever said you can't ride in the cold is a wimp!

Good forum for beginners beginnerbikers.org. You really didn't buy a good bike for a beginner, but the damage is done, so be careful man. The ZZR600 is the same bike as the 2000-2002 ZX-6R, a very scant two generations away from this. They really aren't all that different, the ZZR600 was a top 600CC supersport not that long ago and can still hang with the current models given a good rider. Anyway, I hope you have about 6-700 bucks set aside for gear. Jeans just don't cut it man, they shred in about 4 feet.
