like mine a little more cooked than that, but  none the less.

thats a nice medium in my book.

think also that whenever you buy roast beef for like sandwhiches at a deli, it is usually cooked to a medium to med-rare as well (but sliced so thin its hard to tell sometimes). well cooked roast beef would be a hazard to your health. As long as the beef reachs 130 degrees its cooked.

damn. i feel like cooking a steak now. on charcoal. and its 1 am. damn. and its cold outside.

I still have one more in my fridge 🙂
I had 3 today.
First two I overcooked 🙁
Learned on my third one.

Tip for cooking steak: you only flip it once. And the only seasoning is salt & pepper for the good cuts.

Yep I only flip it once.
But the first time, I cut it a bit too thin, and I went to go surf ATOT while waiting 😛
And I accidently let it cook for 7 minutes full flame on one side, causing it to be completely charred, and the flip side was already all cooked too!
Had to eat two dry steaks.

Yo poor, poor soul: lesson learned: never, ever take your eyes off when you're cooking!
(That's like the pot calling the kettle black but I digress . . ..)

it also helps to bring the steak out of the fridge/icebox at least an hour ahead of time to allow it to come to room temp. That way you won't have an cold center and a cooked outer part. This is, at least, what I have found to work while cooking steaks last summer.

Correct-o-mundo!

edit: Any frozen food, really, is easier to work with when it's thawed (usually - unless you want to do some kind of roulade or something, apparently) - just put it into the fridge section from the freezer a few days ahead if you think you'll be using it!

Looks good. I had mexican food around noon for lunch. I doubt I'll be hungry for a few hours yet. You're making me think I need to throw some ribs on the grill tonight. mmmm.
