Wait, before you go jumping the gun and tell him it's fake. On real Rolex's the second hand jumps from second to second, fake one's rotate around the face smoothly. So first check it out before you give him the news...

i think you got that backwards rolex smooth action regular watches tick second to second.

A Rolex mechanical will sweep smoothly. Rolex did (does?) make a quartz flavor of their DateJust, called an "OysterQuartz."

They're a little harder to find, but they're out there.

DateJust is a nice watch, very comfortable ... even though it has a bracelet instead of a strap.

I've been wearing a Blancpain Flyback lately ... it's also a very comfortable watch.
