That's weird, the page looks fine (centered) when I set my display resolution to 1024x768. I don't know how to explain it exactly but your page's content should automatically align towards the center so that it looks the same at all display resolutions.

I mean, just open any page on the Internet and resize your browser window. It looks constant. The higher I set my res, the further your page's content veers to the left. Try and fix that.

ok yeah, i'll work on that... i think im done playing with it for tonight...

another thing i was gonna ask, is how much should i charge these people for making a page like this when all is said and done, i usually bill out at $65 an hour for IT stuff/on site troubleshooting stuff, but this is a whole new ballgame for me.... i've spent about 2 hours so far on the page, and i figure i can have it completely finished in another 2 hours tommorow.... so does $260 sound about right all said and done? i also charged them an hour labor ($65) to register the domain and set up 5 email accounts for them in the office...

so $325 is what it would all come out to be.... you guys think thats a good price, or should i go a little higher?

personally I think you should go lower because this isn't your expertise, and for $300, you can get an art student to make a fairly professional looking website for the contents you've listed.

i live in a really small town, there's only me and other guy here doing any type of web design/computer work at all...i think ill probably stick to right around $300ish

check out http://www.monstertemplate.com/
they have a great selection of templates for you to choose from. then all you have to do is edit the text. the templates are very professional. i used to design but using templates is so much faster.

so you can spend around $325 as you mentioned. or buy a template for $80 and just edit the text and be done with it.

yeah i didnt even really wanna take this job, they just kind of sprung it on me after i installed a wireless router in there office so they could share there DSL between there machines/share printers/share files/etc.... and i let them know flat out i wasnt really a web design guy.... the only reason i decided to take the job is because of how simple they explained they wanted the page to be...

yeah most of the stuff i do is real simple stuff... building machines/upgrades/os installs/reformats, just basic stuff..... i just work out of my office at my house....

the network stuff i do is mostly just basic stuff too, small lans, a few more in depth things like remote administration, i have a couple of clients who have pretty decent size Lans, sql databases, messaging, etc...

So you're not an IT guru like your OP states...

maybe not a guru.. but i have a CCNP if that counts for anything..

basically there's really not a whole lot i cant do when it comes to lans/wans/vlans.... wink2k server/ 2k3 server stuff...

and im the kind of person that if i run into a problem i cant fix, i can sit there and figure it out, and eventually fix it, pretty much no matter what...i dont think i've ever ran into a problem i couldnt eventually figure out...
