Here is the system. The system is aimed at a user who needs a PC for school and surfing the web. Hows this setup? Would you change anything? And no I will not be overclocking these PC's.
Question: Could someone please tell me some more info on the intergrated video (Geforce 6100?)
Max res? Screen quailty? Is it better than the Geforce 5900?

I transfered the PC into excel and doesnt copy and paste well. I took a screen shot of it instead, here is the link.

Looks good. Maybe better PSU, skimp $20 more and get a nice namebrand to protect your rig.

I would definately get a better psu. You may also find a better deal on a crt at a local pc shop instead of newegg.

The problem with budget pc's are that it isnt much of a deal building it your self. You can get a dell e310 for $500 and probably others less, i dont mean to crap on your build just giving you my take on it.

I also noticed you dont have any cd/dvd/floppy drives.

Best Buy, Circuity City and CompUSA are having some good deals on desktops right now.

Dells suck.

Best Buy sucks.

And im looking up decent drives right now.

Good idea, Ill look around. Shipping is a killer. :/

Looks good. Maybe better PSU, skimp $20 more and get a nice namebrand to protect your rig.

Which PSU would you recommend? Its not like this rig will be pulling much of any power. Which other brand would you sugggest? Coolmaster is to expensive for such a low end system.

Lol. It's the other way around buddy.

Fortron. They have a lot at newegg for not more much more than POS PSUs.

This should do right?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104951

It has one of thouse 20 to 24 pin connector converters. The client wont be using the PCIe slot though.

Could someone please tell me somemore information on the intergrated Geforce 6100? Is it said to be better than the Geforce 5900 card?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh crap. I just noticed that my mobo is Mini ATX. Ive never made a Mini ATX system before.

Newegg is saying the case is ATX only (doesnt mention mini atx at least.)

Is there any difference in the PSU? Ive noticed on newegg they Fortron makes mini ATX PSUs.

Whats the difference between them? Just the physical size of the PSU and the mounting brackets to the case?

Do they make a regualar ATX verison of this mobo? Seems like alot of people promote it.

you forgot optical drive, and i would rather go with a basic antec case along with a PSU, plus an LCD instead of a CRT.

as for mobo, i'd rather get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130498

and grab some cheap video card. anything modern beats integrated video unless you are building an mATX box. if you insist on integrated video, an mATX board will fit fine in a regular ATX case. mATX boards are usually smaller and has less PCI slots.

if its really only school and surfing then a sempron 2400+ would be more than enough.

I'd get an Aspire QPack for the case, it's nice and small, fits mATX boards, has good cooling, and includes a 420 watt power supply that should run all of that fine.

The cheapest Antec case with PSU is 82 dollars (with shipping.) The cases do not look as proffessional and as good as the coolmaster. Therefor getting a quailty coolmaster case at 65 shipped and a quailty PSU at 30 dollars shipped (95 dollars combined) would be a better idea.

mATX boards are usually smaller and has less PCI slots.

Doesnt that mean the case would need different mounting holes? Why would they make different PSUs then?

plus an LCD instead of a CRT.

I looked at LCDs on newegg and they are 2x as much as CRTs with near the same specs. I will however offer an LCD if they require one for space needs.

if its really only school and surfing then a sempron 2400+ would be more than enough.

THe Sempron 2400+ is the same price as the Sempron 2800+, therefor I will be getting the better one. :p

256mb is OK for windows XP. But the extra 15 dollars is worth 512mb.

The Qpack looks far to much like a gaming PC. I need something proffestional looking.

actually you might as well grab one of those dell's with a P4 2.8HT with a 19-inch LCD. runs you about $600 and probably less. a huge upgrade in the monitor, and it'll beat the pants off a sempron.

This PC isnt for me, it is a template for budget PCs I will be selling.

I looked at Dells PCs and they are overpriced and weak. The 19 inch LCD you discribed has a max res of 1024x768. Native is 800x600. I dont think so.

I've updated the specs, look up to the top.

Well for a 200 dollar proccessor compared to a 75 dollar proccessor, it better have some kind of advantage over it.

And according to Tom's Hardware Guide CPU Charts 2005/2006 Interactive.

There is only about a 3%-25% difference in perforemance (depending on the benchmark.)

A 15% average boost in performance for a 250% boost in price is NOT a good deal.

The monitor is only $116 + $25 s&h (ouch on the shipping). And it?s by a quality company with good decent specs. Compared to a ****** company, with ****** specs and you can save 10 bucks. I rather go for quality at a cheaper price.

I am not purchasing a MicroATX case being that I?ve only seen gamer looking mini/microATX cases. The PSU/case combo I have now beats others I have seen in quality at the same (or near) the same price point.

If you can show me a quality PSU/case combo that looks professional, and with a good PSU I will consider it.

Thanks.
