Check Disk running at Windows Startup please help!

I was cleaning up my hdd lastnight in Windows Vista and clicked on the check disk feature to occure when my pc boots up before it loads Windows. It takes forever and I need to get into Windows so how do I abort it or bypass it so it will load windows? I am thinking all I can do is wait it out or clear the cmos??
