Chechnya is starting to sound more and more like Israel. Russia needs to give it up.

They did, it wasn't enough. Chechnya had defacto independence, and the only thing they did with it is use the country as base for attacks into Russia.

Like in Israel, you have russians selling weapons to the enemy, carrying out a scorch-earth policy, and not formulating a sound and pragmatic solution to the problem. If the status quo is allowed to continue, both countries will see many of their soldiers being blown to bits. Russia is ten-times as worse because the gov't there rigs elections.


EDIT: Sadly, in Israel, the right-wing gov't solution to its current problem is to immigrate more jews to israel and they want the US to underwrite it. Crazy.
