What's a good brand of keyboard to look at that will be guarantee to work on both ps2 (the big type and small type) or usb without any fuss? I will be using it on my PC repair desk and need it to support all 3 major plug types flawlessly as I get all sorts of PCs from 486's with the huge connector to P3's with PS2, or compaqs with USB. I seldomly get a modern PC but the USB support is still a must. Most keyboards can just use an adapter, but I've seen some keyboards (usually more advanced internet keyboards) not work well with the adapters.

I am currently looking at this one:

keyboard:

mouse:

Very plain, hoping a typical ps2/usb adapter will work fine. (got some already)

Any decent KB and mouse will do as long as you have the right adapter. But i would go with a PS2 on both then you can use a USB or an AT adapter. Even iif you get on with special keys and macros those would just not be availible on the old AT systems but the KB will still fuction like it should.

Figured. I ended up ordering both of those and a monitor with speakers (so I can also test sound on PCs without needing to buy speakers). Just need to run the network drop now and I'll be set. People don't realize the time and money that goes into the setup just so I can fix their PCs. :p
