Hello,

I am looking to build a new system using a Duron/Tbird, so I am wondering what someone would recommend to be a cheap yet still good motherboard to use?

thanks

Get the abit KT7A-RAID
(non raid version is cheaper, but with raid you get a lot better HDD performance)

Great board, hefty overclocking through Soft Menu III, great support and all that Jazz from abit. Check it out sometime.

MSi K7T Pro series

K7T Pro: ATA66 without multiplier adjustments
K7T Pro2: ATA66 with mulitplier adjustments
K7T Pro2A: ATA100 with multiplier adjustments

MSi makes in my opinion the best SocketA mobo around. Most stable, 6 PCI slots, all the overclockability of an ABit (with much better staiblity) some neat little extra features and cheaper than ABit or Asus.

I've heard good things about the AOpen AK33 to and it's suppose to be quite cheap...but the K7TPro series rocks.

I think he means "cheapy" as in, CHEAPY. :D

EPoX EP-8KTA+ is roughly $100. I don't think it has any special features, though.
