My dad just got a 20" monitor, its on a really old mobo with a crappy onboard video that only supports to 1280*1024, it has no AGP so I need a PCI card, Any suggestions on a really cheap card thatl support up to that res? It won't even be used for web browsing, just for uploading and viewing/photoshopping images. Thanks!

An MX400, made by EVGA? Yeah right, that's going to get him excellent signal quality at ultra-high resolutions.

NOT.

I'd get a PCI Radeon 9200, from a reputed manufacturer like Sapphire.

I have to agree. My old GF2 did NOT handle 1600x1200 very well, let alone 1800x1440.

I've got a PCI mx200, didn't seem so bad to me, then again, i'm not an image expert, go with that 9200se i suppose.

A Matrox G450 PCI will soundly bitchslap both of those at once in terms of 2D quality.

A G200 almost fits the bill, but its max res is 1920x1200. 🙁
