Cheapish IR IP Camera

I see some night vision camera's for pretty cheap on newegg, like:

I'm wondering if anyone knows how this outputs the video, I'm trying to find a camera that I can connect to a PC or maybe a network to record the video.

I've seen the IP camera's but none that seem to be really night vision, and somewhat cheap like <150

That camera uses the BNC connector traditionally found on security gear - it won't plug into standard A/V stuff. You can get PCI cards allowing you to connect two to four of these cameras, and recording software is usually included.

Alternately, Harbor Freight sells some cheapie cameras that will plug into any standard composite (RCA jack) video input.

All CCD cameras can see IR through 1000nm. They have filters to reduce this sensitivity. When removed a few LED's at 800+ nm can light the scene and be well received by the camera. Unless you need long IR like a FLIR...

I might point out that some of us choose to avoid tricky, warranty-eliminating surgery.

That, and Harbor Freight sells a preconfigured camera for a pittance.

Yes those all light cameras have a ring of ir led's around the objective lens and usually have a 10 foot range in total darkness. Ones with a composite output are available for $20 or so.
