Cheapest way to ship from the U.S. to England?

I'm looking at the prices for UPS and USPS and they're all pretty expensive. The only one that looks reasonable is the USPS that goes by boat and takes weeks to get there. Any idea on cheaper ways to ship there that aren't too slow?

TIA :D

A ATI 9700 graphics card with one of those Zalman gold heatsinks on it. Not too big but not a super small box either....

The USPS is a rip off, maybe set up your own UPS account and use that, I know it's cheap within the US, I keep meaning to do it for stuff I occasionally send to the UK.

A container on a ship is only a few grand. Ship it in style with 20' of packing.

Global Priority will likely be the most economical in the time v price theorem.

Surface parcel will be a while, but realistically - spend a bit more and send it air.

I sent a 9600 Pro video card from CT to a friend in London for about $11.00 via USPS Global Priority Air Mail. He got in five days.

UPS is expensive in the US..from my experience, USPS & DHL are decent (USPS for lightweight stuff), then Fedex, then UPS (most expensive).

I don't ship much overseas, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help..other than pulling quotes from websites..which the OP can do just fine. :p

Send it Air Parcel Post... not too expensive and gets there in a week, usually less.

GPM will cost like $35 if you need to get it there fast.

Mark the customs label as a gift or they may charge the receiver duty.

Seconded. I ship things to a friend in Ireland a few times a year and they always get there in a week or so and it never costs more than $15.

I sent a minidisc player, a few beer glasses and shot glasses, and some other general knick knacks and it only set me back a little more than 13 something, was there by the next week.
