USPS has the priority mail boxes that are slightly less than a foot long. No matter the weight, it goes for about $4.60 priority mail... but this is just a couple discs.

Would it be cheaper to slide discs (in thin cases) into a padded envelope of the same size and mail that? Would that be the same rate (adjusted for weight) as a regular letter?

Approx. how much is media mail for something I described? I don't see it even listed (or padded envelopes for that matter) here: http://postcalc.usps.gov/

EDIT>> nvm, had to choose package or large package and media mail appears. So it looks like under $3. Thanks for the tip.

it just takes a little longer to arrive. (2 weeks)
But its hard to say how much it cost really. But the price won't be anywhere close to a regularly parcel postage. Not to mention priority
back then when I did it,
I think a medium thickness book prolly cost about 2 dollars back in 2004 when I shipped something off
DVDs wont be that big and heavy hence should cost less then that??
