Cheapest way to ship an electronic component?

I want to sell my HTIB unit. However all together it weighs 40 lbs. I cant ship it media freight can i? Since its not books and stuff like that. The cheapest ground price I could find was like 40 dollars. Thanks.
 
Shipping goes by weight, period. No way around it, AFAIK.

That's one of the reasons I don't sell my older rigs; the shipping cost negates the "good deal" I'd cut on it. 🙁
