Cheapest way to get office 2003 or 2007

MustISO

I have a friend who needs office 2003 or 2007 (Word, Excel and Outlook). What's the cheapest way to get a legal version of Office? Any good sites that sell OEM versions?

If either you or your friend are a student most Universities offer academic discounts. Office is free at mine, and a Vista Ultimate upgrade is something like $15 dollars. There are also websites that offer discounts to students such as campustech.com

If you or your friend aren't a student though I'm not sure where you'd go for a noticeable discount.

What is wrong with OpenOffice? It is free but it doesnt have email client like outlook.

If both were free which would you prefer, Microsoft's office suite or openoffice? Based on usability and features, not the fact one is open and the other isn't.

I already have office 2003 and 2007, just wondering if openoffice is as good if not better.

Based on my limited office needs I would say that MS Office is a bit better. Imo, it's not better enough to pay for, but if you already have it, you're not missing anything from Open Office(with the exception of the export to pdf option in Open Office, that can be handy at times)

I will talk to her about open office. I've never used open office but I do use Thunderbird as an email client on this machine.

I already have Acrobat Professional so that's not something I'm missing anyway.
