Cheapest way to convert VGA to HDMI

My roommate got a new tv, but it only has hdmi inputs. His computer is an old P4 with a basic PCI graphics card. It's pretty old, so I'm pretty sure there's no digital signal included. (if it was, I coudl just use a simple vga/hdmi interface converter).

His PC has PCI/AGP, but no PCI-X

I can't find any cheap "worth buying" gpu's that have HDMI. Some have DVI (about $50) but then I still need to buy an interface adapter. After all that we're looking at $75+ and at that point, I'd just spend a little more and get a new mb/cpu/ram/ps combo or something.

Ideas? I pretty much need something like this, but I don't want to spend $65.

No easy way that I know. Better money spent on a newwer system. Even a basic Trinity/75 system will have built in HDMI and be faster as well.

Check the for sale section here for a checp AGP HDMI card maybe?
